Hello Buffer Festival community!
We missed you all so much in 2020. We also missed the presence of people gathering IRL – it’s what we do after all! Though we missed Buffer Festival last year, we’re hopeful to make things happen in a safe way this year.
With that said, we’re excited to announce our new 2021 dates, made in partnership with Fan Expo Canada. Buffer Festival 2021 will take place from August 26-29 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in the John Bassett Theatre.
What will the partnership with Fan Expo look like?
The core format of Buffer Festival will stay the same – 4 days of screenings with creators and audiences, red carpets, learning experiences, and our Gala Award Show. However, with our partnership with Fan Expo, we’ll have a few other interactive surprises as well. It also means that you’ll be able to go to either one event, or both events.
Who will be attending?
We’re grateful that our favourite creators are committed to Buffer Festival and willing to work with us even during these circumstances. As of now, we have a number of creators lined up including…
And many more!
To keep everyone comfortable, we understand and respect that all Creators may adjust their attendance as we get closer to the event.
The Great Unknown Continued
We’re hopeful for August 26-29. We have a long way to go to make sure everyone can attend safely, but we are all in on hopeful, careful planning. We will always continue to adapt to ensure safety of all involved.
We’re so grateful for this community we’ve built around a mutual love for intentional storytelling. We’re grateful for everyone involved; our attendees, our guests, our volunteers, our team, and our partners.
We will remain hopeful to revive Buffer Festival this year to continue to do what we love the most which is bringing likeminded people together.
As we’re still many months away, we will keep you up to date with the latest news around our planning.
We have many more announcements in the works. For now, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay tuned.
